When I first discovered X Plane 11 about 12 months at the end of 2017 I was shocked and surprised by many aspects of this flight Simulator. Its certainly worth flying around, located in the western United States, its already going to have decent level of default scenery so it brings the bells and whistles to the airport with the additions of ORBX’s work.Ĭheck out these and more airports in the Videos below. This airport has all the surrounding area with custom auto gen scenery as well as trees and a couple aircraft as well as a few people. It honestly brings a smile to my face taxiing through it. It is a really quality airport with again the 3D grass that is ever missing from the stock X Plane 11 Scenery. ORBX has a number of X PLANE 11 airports with Oceano County Airport being one of the three current free offerings by them.
Taxiing around Machmell Fisheries by Propstrike Studio you are met with trees, 3D grass and the crunching of dirt under the tires as you taxi about and the per pixel resolutions are very good. These all currently seem to be country wilderness strips which are more dirt roads among tall and yes very tall trees. My Channel “Lets Fly VFR is test driving all the best freeware I can find for you guys and searching for small developers like “Prop Strike Studios” which makes a number of Canadian airports at the moment. Major companies in the flight simulation genre like ORBX and others are coming to X Plane 11 and giving us amazing Scenery and Airports for free right out of the box or the digital download of course. Its so amazing that the quality of free scenery out there is so high. In the process this is attracting more and more big as well as small developers to bring high quality offerings to the simulator. X Plane 11 by Laminar Research is slowly gaining the acceptance by the community it so much deserves.
